Request for
individual sponsorship for the 2008 Cannes Film
Festival.
My name is Mark Ashmore
and I am a young film maker from Alfreton, in
Derbyshire, and over the past two years, I have been
working on my first short film entitled ‘Your State Of
Emergency’, filmed in Alfreton over the winter of 2006,
then edited throughout 2007, the film which deals with a
‘State of Emergency’ coming to the UK, has just been
accepted into the prestigious Cannes film festival in
France, and will be shown along side Hollywood
blockbusters and the cream of indie films from Europe.
The film was self funded by myself on credit cards and I
called in favours from friends and family to finish the
film, and now I have the chance to show the film made in Alfreton at the biggest film festival in the world, but
this is a costly process. I have applied to EM-Media for
a grant, but they can only cover up to 50% of the cost,
and that is if I am accepted, I am looking for corporate
or Individual sponsorship from your company to help me
get to the festival and promote the film, the total
budget breakdown for me to attend is £4000, anything you
can do to help me raise this figure would be a great
help, I can offer you in return various media
opportunities in my press coverage running up to the
festival, in local and national newspapers, TV coverage
on local and possibly national news channels and I can
attach your logo and a website link to my flyers,
posters and the films website, I am also willing to
undertake any photo opportunity’s you require and also
write an article on my experiences for your in house
